Project name: IKT solutions for more efficient operations of O.D. ALFA–TEH

The Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds awarded O.D. ALFA – TEH funds for the development and implementation of IKT solutions, as a way to achieve more efficient business.

The goal of the project is to significantly reduce the time required for coordination of business between associates with funds aimed at procurement and implementation of IKT solutions and equipment, thus reducing working hours and final product prices as a result of optimized processes, resulting in increased competitiveness, efficiency and company market position.

Project activities are procurement of IKT solutions and equipment, i.e. procurement of software (CAD, Software for 2D plan of pneumatic schemes, Tetra converter), computer equipment (computers, monitors, laptop, large format printer), UPS – uninterruptible power supply, NAS Server with two hard drives, SpaceMouse and Cad Mouse.

The expected results of the project are: provided adequate resources (human, financial, technical-technological), jobs equipped with modern workstations, optimized business processes, increasing competitiveness and efficiency and strengthening the company’s market position.

The development of any branch of industry today is primarily based on the application of new technologies, which offer modern information and software solutions. Information and software technologies, which contribute to the improvement of the automotive and agricultural industries, primarily rely on the application of new technological developments for production, which should be maximally optimized and includes professional database management, enables production of better and more competitive products (“more for less” production), with application of new materials. Special emphasis is placed on sustainable development and the usage of renewable energy sources.

In the automotive industry, the present innovations are focused on optimizing the cost of car production, thanks, among other things, to the selection of new types of materials. The usage of new materials saves time and resources. The increase in the use of composite materials (a combination of at least two materials with a high adhesion capacity) puts car manufacturer’s efficiency above effectiveness. In this way, the automotive industry can use the composite, as a new material with the strength of two built-in materials in one, to develop the superior performance of its products. The development of the automotive industry is moving towards accepting the electric car as the next generation car. One of the reasons for this direction of development is the need to put the issue of social responsibility and respect for the environment in the first place, and in accordance with that, to switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. This step is a great challenge for engineers, when it comes to not only product design, but also finding a lightweight, durable material, the production of which reduces pollution.

The agricultural industry is moving in the direction of exploring the possibilities of more dynamic development of agricultural production. The possibilities of development of this branch of industry are reflected in polyvalent development, which includes the intensification of primary agricultural production and non-agricultural products, i.e., energy production from renewable sources and organic agriculture. Sustainable development of agriculture is one of the key tasks of all agricultural trends in the future, which will include environmental protection, development of infrastructure and telecommunications, development and improvement of renewable energy sources. In terms of the application of new information technologies, the development of the agricultural industry is directly related to digital integration, which eliminates technological interruptions, offers a developed communication structure and reduces the need for human intervention. New technologies, based on the application of modern computer technology, software solutions and integrated systems, can meet the set criteria in achieving quality food production and significantly better management of agricultural processes, because traditional techniques cannot meet today’s needs of the agricultural industry.

The CATIA software package (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) is a multiplatform CAD/CAM/CAE commercial package, written in the C++ programming language. CATIA began to develop in the late 70’s of last century, and during its development and popularization was adopted in aerospace engineering, automotive, shipbuilding and other industries. The first name of this software package was CATI (Conception Assistée Tridimensionnelle Interactive – Interactive three-dimensional assisted design), and in the 80’s it got the name that is still used today – CATIA.

CATIA V5-V6, compared to the V5 version offers certain advantages, one of which is the most important data management. CATIA V5-V6 requires an ENOVIA database to connect the database itself and all data managed within that database, with the possibility of direct access to data from CATIA. The CATIA V5-V6 can be viewed, from a program and user perspective, as a CATIA V5 with built-in data management integration.

ALFA – TEH uses the latest versions of the CATIA V5-V6 software package in its work. Due to the revolutionary advantages of software solutions, included in CATIA V5-V6 packages, ALFA – TEH is able to offer competitive services in terms of tasks, databases and results for its customers. What ALFA – TEH provides to its customers is to achieve an optimized, safe and cost-effective design for complex industrial plants, while simplifying operations and efficiently managing plant maintenance. Clients are enabled to design new products, improve existing ones, increase profitability and profit, full compliance of requirements, data and results with minimal risk of the process of validation of designed products and solutions in terms of meeting requirements for their specific use and control.
